Well three weeks on the job and 3 two alarm fires... in one week! First was a two story taxpayer started in rear kitchen from cooking oil on stove for french fries. Home owner threw water on it.. and the rest is history. First arriving crews had heavy fire in the rear and roof which was a double roof. So a two story building reduced to one story. 1 FF transported for smoke inhalation.
Second fire in a 2 1/2 story house started in the division 1 alpha side extended up into the second foor and attic. Good knock down after a vent hole was in place. 1 FF and 1 police officer transported for heat exaustion.
Third fire was in a 2 1/2 story house fire started in the division 1 bathroom and was just about knocked down when the engine was running low on water. A hydrant was directly across the street but the stem was broken off (which neighbors reported repeatedly to water department who never fixed it) next hydrant 300 feet away. So fire got into the wall (baloon frame) up to the attic and took off through the roof. 1 FF transported for heat exaustion. Im loving this job already :o) Hope all is well with all you guys.

YES and incase you didnt know these fires were all in MIDDLETON ;) ohh yea i forgot denis left us to become a ff in lynn well Hero congrats and remeber one thing drink lots of water and feel free to send some fire to middleton and as for the coverage on these fire well i guess west newbury isnt the only place that doesnt get coverage from the new when a fire breaks out but then again that could be because of the plane that crashed in canada unlike west newbury who is not seen on the map sometime but its alright we still think about you guys up there george :) lol
