Roll over PicturesJan 14, 06 at 1:13 pm

The pictures that I posted was a roll over that I responed to back in July.
Engine 9 was first due and upon arrival requested Ladder 4 for the jaws. While I was in route I requested the Rescue for Lighting and the Jacks. When we first got the the Van it had snapped the Light pole about half way up, it was hanging over us as we worked. The guy all 350 plus pounds of him where stil in the van (yes he was drunk) the only way that we could get into him was through the roof Notice the nice vent hole.
When we opened this up the van was loaded with tools, nail guns, Nails you name it. So when we opened the roof we had to remove a ton of stuff to get in so that we could see him.
The other thing that we ran into was a metal wall that was behind the driver. So that also had to be removed.
Every time that we moved in the van you could see the pole moving around so after several cuts and all kinds of different ways to remove debris this guy was removed, with minor injuries. The thing that saved him was that he was drunk. While I was in the van working to get him out alL you could smell was that old bar room stink something for the smoking the bathroom smell (Yes he did have to go during this time) and old beer smell.

Out of the ones that I have done this one was right up there in the amount of work that was needed to remove this guy. And yes it was also fun trying to figure out how to get him out.
